Position Summary
Lead the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring all pastry and bakery items are prepared to Aman’s quality standards. Support the Executive Chef by supervising the team, maintaining food safety and hygiene, and delivering an excellent guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the pastry kitchen.
- Ensure all pastry and bakery products meet quality and presentation standards.
- Plan daily production to reduce waste and control food costs.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (HACCP).
- Train, coach, and support the pastry team.
- Assist in creating new pastry and bakery items.
- Manage stock, storage, and proper use of ingredients.
- Support guest requests and other duties assigned by the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Culinary qualification in Pastry or Bakery.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a luxury hotel or resort, preferably in a five-star property.
- Good knowledge of pastry production, food safety, and food cost control.
- Leadership and team training experience.
- Good English communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure, pay attention to detail, and work well in a team.
- Positive attitude with a strong focus on quality and guest satisfaction.
