  Role Overview:The purpose of this role is to develop and implement innovative technical solutions and provide expert customer support within the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) market, with a strong focus on construction applications across the EMEA region. The role drives value creation by translating customer needs into differentiated products, ensuring successful industrial implementation, and strengthening customer relationships to support sustainable business growth for Trinseo.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will translate customer needs into innovative, cost-effective solutions while supporting business growth, expanding market opportunities, and strengthening our technical leadership in the CASE industry particularly in the construction chemical area.

You will act as a key interface between customers and internal teams, leading product development from concept through commercialization and ensuring successful implementation at customer sites. As part of responsibilities, you will :

• Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic customers and growth applications
• Support customers in new grade development, formulation optimization, and process improvement
• Lead product development projects, including laboratory studies and scale-up
• Translate customer requirements into differentiated, value-driven solutions
• Identify and develop new market opportunities, customers, and applications
• Drive product implementation and qualification at customer sites in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Contribute to revenue growth, margin improvement, and EBIT expansion
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders
• Represent Trinseo as a technical expert at conferences, exhibitions, and industry forum
• Follow competition progresses in your application including patent surveys

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field such as engineer school with proven internships in construction chemicals areas (paint, cement systems, formulation, polymer synthesis, etc…), pHD in the same field
• Strong experience in CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers) or Construction chemicals-related applications / formulations including cement systems understanding
• Proven track record in technical service, product development, or customer-facing roles
• Fluency in English, the company language, and German and/or French is/are a plus

 Skills:

• Mobile and able to travel approximately up to 25% of the time
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical
• Very structured and pro-active way of working
• Independent worker, hands-on capabilities and proactive personality
