This is a per-diem rotating shift schedule including weekends/holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

 

In this role, the Chaplain ministers to patients, their families and staff.

Preferred Criteria:

• Graduate theological education or Masters' degree in a related field.   

• Four units of ACPE.

• Actively working toward certification by a certifying body recognized by the Spiritual Care Collaborative such as APC (Association for Professional Chaplains), NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains), etc, or appropriate equivalency approved by the corporate Director of Pastoral Care & Education.

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Enrollment in or completion of one unit of CPE. Anyone hired without 4 completed units of CPE will be required to complete them to maintain employment.   

• If ordained, must be in good standing with the ordaining religious body, evidenced by official endorsement or letter of good standing from a denominational official.
