General Job Description:
To be able to effectively operate wrapper and all equipment on assigned line necessary for proper production of all items. Responsible for troubleshooting and correcting problems as well as performing basic PMs. Run equipment at proper speed to provide efficient flow of product. Follow all GMP’s while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
- Set-up and tear down all equipment required to run a given product.
- Be responsible for maintaining proper operating speed to maximize product efficiency and to minimize equipment downtime.
- Obtain daily, weekly and monthly production goals. Understand and report on KPIs.
- Work as a team with TMs on the Line to efficiently operate.
- Must be willing and able to make the necessary machine adjustments or repairs to equipment to provide superior quality and appearance of the product.
- Responsible for training other operators on equipment as needed.
- Train and lead in all safety procedures that are job related.
- Maintain equipment to ensure line is ready for production.
- Maintain clean work area and adhere to 6S standards on a regular basis.
- Must have good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to produce a quality product at an efficient rate.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must be willing and able to understand and follow directions.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures ranging from 30 – 100 degrees.
- Must be willing and able to promote a teamwork environment.
- Must be willing and able to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms.
- Must be willing and able to walk/stand for up to 12 hours per day.
Requirements:
- Must have been in their current position 90 days to transfer to another shift, line, or department; no time in seat requirement for demotions on the same shift.
- At least 3 months of experience working in the RTE department.
- No more than 4 occurrence points.
- No more than two (2) written warnings in the last 12 months.
