Role summary and purpose:
The purpose of the job is to manage and organize the assigned production shift to carry out production according with the valid budget and planning and to achieve its objectives in terms of quality, cost and efficiencies.
Key responsibilities and activities include, but are not limited to:
1. Leadership and Team Coordination
- Leads the team of operators and coordinates employees from other departments during the shift.
- Communicates the objectives, strategies and operational requirements established by management and monitors their achievement.
- Maintains an active presence in the production area to support the team and promptly resolve production, quality or personnel issues.
- Participates in the training, development, motivation and performance evaluation of subordinates.
- Promotes teamwork, effective communication and appropriate leadership behavior.
- Applies and ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures and applicable legal requirements.
2. Production Planning and Execution
- Plans, organizes and coordinates production activity in the shift, according to the production plan, budget and customer requirements.
- Ensures the distribution of tasks, the occupation of the necessary positions and the availability of resources: personnel, materials, equipment and tools.
- Plans the personnel requirements of the shift, including overtime, temporary staff and covering absences.
- Ensures production is carried out according to established standards, work instructions and parameters.
- Ensures the daily production schedule and quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met.

Functional and technical competencies
College degree in Technical Engineering (chemistry / mechanics / mining)
Minimum 3 years of experience in a production environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in leading and coordinating teams of over 10 employees
