Description

We’re looking for a talented scientist or ML researcher to leverage the latest advances in computational protein design towards the development of groundbreaking biosensing technology. We’re changing what’s possible in diagnostics and protein design is central to our efforts. You will collaborate with our experts in machine learning, molecular biology, and assay development to design real-world products that benefit human health.

This role is based out of our beautiful office & lab in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect next-generation protein-based biosensors
  • Lead our computational protein binder design efforts
  • Set our protein design research direction as the company scales up

Qualifications

  • PhD (completed or in progress) in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability in de novo design of proteins (for example, minibinders) using cutting edge computational methods.
  • Expertise in the research area of generative protein design models and structure-prediction.

Why Join Us:

  • Be part of a visionary team that is set to change the way diagnostic testing is done.
  • Work in a collaborative and innovative environment with leading experts across various fields.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development in a fast-paced startup setting.
  • Make a tangible impact on healthcare and improve patient outcomes through at-home diagnostics.

Even if you feel like you don’t meet all of the qualifications, we encourage you to apply!

Research shows that while men apply to jobs where they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other underrepresented people tend to only apply when they meet 100% of the qualifications. At Numen, we welcome diverse perspectives and people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. Numen is an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment, free from discrimination or harassment, for all employees.
