Bereaved family members often need support in their grief. Our Bereavement Coordinator steps in to assess needs, counsel, and facilitate support for the family.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Collaborate with other departments within the hospital, to align interdepartmental functioning, goals, and expectations as outlined in the SLA.
Conduct comprehensive bereavement assessments, to identify bereavement strengths and needs of patient and family.
Conduct follow-up with grieving families to ensure their support needs are met and to gain insight into their satisfaction of care.
Conduct preparatory meetings with the patient and family, and maintain availability during the bereavement period as needed.
Periodically plan and organize memorial services for Hospice families.
Provide support and counseling consistent with patient and family beliefs.
Review and develop protocols for treatment and propose current options for interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree- Social Services or Divinity- Required
2 years- Social Services Experience- Required OR
2 Years- Chaplaincy Experience- Required OR
2 Years- Counseling Experience- Required
