Air Operations & FinOps Senior Specialist

The Air Execution Senior Specialist (JL3) is responsible for handling complex and exception-driven Air Operations and Air FinOps cases, ensuring high-quality execution, billing accuracy, and process compliance.
The role is supporting backlog recovery, resolving escalations, strengthening quality controls, and guiding the team on process adherence and best practices aligned with Maersk global standards.

People Support & Team Contribution

• Provide guidance and functional support to Process Experts and associates on complex operational and billing issues.
• Act as a go-to SME for exception handling, escalations, and process clarifications.
• Support onboarding and upskilling of team members through knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to address performance gaps and improve team capability.

Operational Execution (Air Export & Import)

• Handle complex shipments, exception cases, and high-risk movements requiring advanced process knowledge.
• Ensure accurate execution of booking, documentation, milestone updates, and shipment handling.
• Support backlog clearance and drive recovery plans for aged shipments and operational delays.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance execution efficiency.
• Work closely with OPS, CX, and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and ensure service delivery.

Quality Control & Continuous Improvement

• Strengthen quality control by identifying error patterns and driving preventive measures.
• Perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support development and enhancement of SOPs, WI (Work Instructions), and process documentation.
• Contribute to automation initiatives, process standardization, and efficiency projects.
• Support data quality cleanup activities (e.g., backlog reduction, DQ tasks).
• Monitor personal and team-level performance against KPIs (quality, productivity, SLA adherence).
• Provide insights on performance gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support Team Leader in reporting, analysis, and performance reviews.
