Job Description

As a Security Officer Active Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. In a role built on teamwork and integrity, you will bring a caring, reliable, and agile approach while helping create a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and/or drivers.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, package or trailer yard concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, loading and unloading zones, trailer lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic operational areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support badge or visitor verification, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or operational concerns observed during patrols.
• Assist with site-specific protocols related to deliveries, driver check-in, employee movement, and after-hours activity while maintaining a professional presence in varied working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
