Description
Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Production Planner to join the team. This is an onsite role based at the Highland, IL manufacturing site.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $59000 - $86000 a year.

## What you’ll do:
The Production Planner role demonstrates capability in planning practices for production and ensures customer orders are completed on time and efficiently. This role manages and identifies areas for improvement in the following areas: planning/shop floor scheduling, shortage resolution, expedites, customer requests, manufacturing efficiency, and capacity management, as well as assists in the attainment of the master production schedule through effective communication and problem solving with the multi-functional entities.
Essential Functions:
- Material Planning and Procurement: Maintain planning-related material master data in SAP, including lot sizes, safety stocks, replenishment types, and lead times. Plan and procure material components to support production while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Coordinate scheduling of outside processing directly with vendors.
- Production Scheduling: Attend production meetings to align the production plan with customer requirements. Assign delivery dates based on customer needs, processing times, available capacity, and raw material availability. Create, manage, and release SAP-generated job packets and drawings to the production floor according to established procedures.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory to achieve monthly financial targets while meeting customer demand. Support annual physical inventory and cycle counting activities. Evaluate inventory results and update affected records and schedules.
- Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Review manufacturing order closure reports to maintain accurate records. Ensure SAP planning, production, and inventory information remains accurate and current. Support local, divisional, and corporate initiatives as a member of the salaried team. Promote Eaton’s goals and philosophies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
## Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 1 year of ERP system experience
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Highland, IL. to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field from an accredited institution
- Previous working experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes as well as special processes.
- Well-versed in materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
- SAP experience
