YOUR ROLE
As the Lean Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Production Launch Planning: Develop launch plans, milestones, and SOP readiness activities.
- Process Development: Define and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly sequences.
- Equipment and Tooling Readiness: Ensure equipment, fixtures, and tooling are installed, commissioned, and capable.
- Process Validation: Support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds and verify cycle times.
- Quality Assurance During Launch: Support PFMEA, Control Plans, defect reduction, and corrective actions.
- Capacity and Productivity Management: Confirm production rates, line balancing, and resource utilization.
- Cross Functional Coordination: Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Suppliers.
- Risk Management: Identify launch risks, maintain action plans, and escalate critical issues.
- Launch Issue Management: Lead tracking and closure of open issues affecting successful product launch.
- Customer Focus: Ensure customer requirements are met and launch objectives support customer satisfaction.
RESPONSABILITIES
Lead new product launch activities from planning through production stabilization.
Develop, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and assembly methods.
Coordinate equipment, tooling, quality, production, maintenance, logistics, and supplier readiness to ensure successful product launches.
Manage PFMEA, Control Plans, process documentation, and launch performance metrics.
Identify and mitigate launch risks, drive issue resolution, and ensure customer requirements are achieved.
Monitor post-launch performance and support transition to normal production operations.
High energy, results-oriented, 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, product launches, process development, and cross-functional project coordination within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Launch Engineering, or Process Engineering.
Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting new product launches and process validation activities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
English 80%
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
APQP and PPAP experience.
Familiarity with OEE, FPY, cycle time analysis, and capacity planning.
Experience working with automated assembly equipment and production systems.
Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
