Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.


This role is contributing to the EL Smart Power business in Xiamen China.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Master equipment maintenance skills to support technicians in timely repairs, minimizing downtime by addressing faults related to electrical controls, PLC programming, and software; ensure stable equipment operation and achieve Target of equipment Availability and production line OEE.
  • Provide technical guidance and training for maintenance technicians to continuously improve their equipment repair capabilities. 
  • Lead analysis and improvement projects for equipment downtime, TPM maintenance activities, and optimize equipment issues. 
  • Resolve complex technical issues, manage equipment changes management, and ensure higher operational performance and compliance with quality requirements;. 
  • Take responsibility for equipment-related tasks within various projects (e.g., product EC engineering changes, MES and equipment data systems). 
  • New equipment introduction: lead the commissioning of single-unit equipment and participate in equipment-related tasks during new production line development, including factory acceptance, installation and debugging, power-up integration, trial production follow-up, program backup, parameter fixation, and operator training. 
  • Comply with all safety regulations, conduct safety-related work, and implement 6S on-site management. 
  • Complete other assigned tasks as required.

 


Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical and electrical integration, electrical automation, communication engineering, industrial automation, industrial robotics, or a related engineering discipline. 
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and programming equipment related to PLC systems. 
  • Experience with ABB robot commissioning and programming is preferred. 
  • Able to adapt to overtime and occasional after-hours on-site support for equipment maintenance, responding quickly to production orders and agile organizational needs. 
  • Strong logical thinking, hands-on ability, high safety awareness, capable of independently handling problems and managing multiple tasks under pressure. 
  • Basic English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing; strong learning ability to quickly adapt to new industrial control technologies and smart manufacturing information systems. 
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments (production, process, quality, procurement, IT, equipment vendors), with a strong team spirit.
