Senior Site Reliability Engineer
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to Sr. Director – Platform Operations, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and operational excellence of Nasdaq's cloud-based platforms. Based in Manila and working within a globally distributed team, you'll support mission-critical services and drive continuous improvement across our FinTech Platform Operations organization.

What You’ll Do
Manage incidents and problems through resolution, including technical diagnosis, recovery coordination, and follow-up actions with relevant teams.
Test, plan, and deploy changes to cloud systems to strengthen reliability, operational excellence, and customer outcomes.
Drive observability, automation, patching, vulnerability management, and capacity practices across cloud platforms.
Facilitate disaster recovery tests, business continuity activities, change events, and operational readiness exercises.
Coordinate cross-functional operational initiatives with global engineering, security, product support, and customer delivery teams.
Provide clear, structured communication during incidents and changes, including impact, recovery status, risks, and next steps.
What You’ll Bring
8+ years of experience supporting 24x7x365 mission-critical production environments in financial services, cloud operations, or managed services.
Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI), Linux, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Solid experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or AWS CloudWatch.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and routing.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues and recovery plans to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Flexibility to work on a 4-day work week schedule (Mon - Tue - Fri - Sat) covering morning to afternoon hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional-level certification in AWS, Azure, or OCI.
ITIL certification or equivalent service management experience.
Experience in financial services environments or knowledge of relational database platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Work Schedule & Location
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Bonifacio Global City, Philippines, operating on a hybrid work model with at least two days per week in the office.
This role follows a 4-day work week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday), covering the Australian time zone (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM AEST / 10 hours per day including a 1-hour break).
