Director of Finance

EA Talent Solutions has been engaged by our client to identify a Director of Finance to lead a team of 12 at a dynamic, fast-growing company. This individual will serve as a trusted financial partner to ownership and executive leadership, delivering clear financial reporting, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations that drive business performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team of 12
• Oversee timely preparation of financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Build and maintain financial models for revenue and EBITDA forecasting; develop detailed budget and cash flow forecasts
• Establish, monitor, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Oversee cash flow management and all treasury activities, including multi-currency operations
• Collect, analyze, and summarize financial data to prepare reports and budgets; determine ROI on new initiatives and expansion plans
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of inventory across domestic and international sites
• Conduct internal audits as needed to monitor and confirm financial condition
• Serve as a strategic thought partner to executives across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions
• Review key contracts and legal agreements to assess financial impact
• Collaborate with the Assistant Controller and outside consultants on ERP implementation and system updates
• Act as primary liaison with external tax accountants, auditors, bankers, insurance brokers, and legal counsel
• Provide regular reporting to the Board of Directors and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
• Support ad-hoc projects as directed by management or ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
• 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with 4+ years in a leadership role at a multi-business unit, multi-department, or international company
• Experience in CPG or food-and-beverage industry with exposure to manufacturing and inventory systems preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting skills
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically while rolling up your sleeves when needed
• Data-driven decision maker with expertise in KPIs, Excel, and SQL
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills; ability to present financial insights clearly to executive audiences
• Ability to prioritize effectively and drive results with minimal direction
• Positive, collaborative leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset

This role offers a base salary of $200,000 to $225,000, commensurate with experience.
