A distinguished, independent luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Nashville is seeking an executive leader to step into the role of Director of Operations. Position Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and daily executive oversight across all operational divisions, including Rooms and Food & Beverage.
- Serve as the senior operational leader on property, acting as a key partner to executive leadership in driving property-wide goals, financial growth, and operational innovation.
- Champion a culture of hyper-personalized service, ensuring every guest touchpoint meets or exceeds five-star standards.
- Actively engage with VIP guests, high-profile visitors, and community partners while personally leading service recovery initiatives when required.
- Manage operational budgets, labor planning, and departmental forecasting to maximize efficiency and top-line revenue without compromising luxury quality.
- Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to maintain world-class execution across fine dining, lounges, banquets, and in-room dining services.
- Oversee room inventory, front office, housekeeping, concierge, and engineering operations to ensure pristine asset preservation and seamless guest journeys.
- Recruit, coach, and mentor high-performing department heads and emerging hospitality talent, fostering an environment rooted in accountability and professional growth.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive executive leadership experience within a Forbes Five-Star, Michelin-recognized, or ultra-luxury boutique hotel environment.
- Comprehensive operational expertise across both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage/Culinary operations.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar operating budgets, labor productivity models, and P&L financial metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams, build succession pipelines, and instill a strong culture of hospitality excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Exceptional communication, emotional intelligence, and change-management capabilities.
Compensation: $155,000 - $170,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) + performance bonus program (up to 25%), comprehensive health benefits, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO), and relocation if needed.
