The Warehouse Supervisor, organizes and maintains inventory and stock controls. Ensure that the storage areas and warehouse are kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying areas where processes could be improved, and work practices amended. Excellent attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills is required. Brings a quality aspect to all warehousing operations. Lead by example and provides clear direction while supervising staff
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
Active role in training, performance assessment, development, and disciplinary
responsibilities
Assist colleagues when necessary and continue to be polite and helpful at all times
to ensure a smooth running of the warehouse
Provide clear verbal or written instructions so that the expectations of employee
roles are understood
Motivate direct reports, provide guidance, and delegate tasks, which requires your
strong leadership skill
Responsible for ensuring warehouse is always ready for internal and external
Audits
Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data, and spreadsheets and strong numeracy
skills to carry out these tasks efficiently
Maintain and develop departmental procedures
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving,
shipping, warehouse, and in the quality of goods
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Minimum of 5 – 6 years of relevant experience
Forklift Certification preferred, not required
California Driver’s License as Required
Previous work experience in a lab preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and be flexible with tasks and schedules
Ability to work independently in a team environment
Work Environment:
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment.
Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

Hybrid Work Model: This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
