Description
In this role, as an Inventory Specialist you will have hands-on experience maintaining physical inventory utilizing our internal ERP system. You will be responsible for assisting the manufacturing team with material handling as well as kitting for multiple production lines. You will also be responsible for inventory control, material processing, and cycle counts according to AS9100 standards.
Location: Torrance, CA 90501 (On-site)
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory and perform kitting for production projects in accordance with established AS9100 procedures.
- Prepare reports, such as inventory balance, kit completeness, and shortages
- Investigate and resolve any variances between inventory reports and physical inventory.
- Record inventory activity and complete required ERP transactions accurately and in a timely manner; support inventory replenishment activities as required.
- Perform inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Work with ISI support organizations to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Work closely with production and purchasing coordinators/planners to effectively manage material demand and supply flow.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualification Guidelines:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a relevant field preferred
- 3-5 years in high-tech manufacturing/production environment
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control within an electronic or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with material processing and inventory transactions using an ERP system; Costpoint experience is a plus.
- Ability to kit material accurately from manufacturing kit lists, work orders, and related production documentation.
- Ability to investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strong focus on inventory accuracy and material traceability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Intermediate proficiency with ERP systems.
Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00hr. (Base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience)
