The Job: Senior Analyst, Decision Platforms
This role designs, configures, tests, and supports decisioning and application-journey solutions across existing and emerging platforms, translating business needs and data into reliable, scalable customer decisions and experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Decision Platform Configuration and Delivery: Configure, implement, and maintain decision rules, workflows, integrations, and reusable components across decision platforms, initially supporting Provenir and expanding to platforms such as Taktile. Deliver accurate, scalable, and controlled solutions
- Requirements and Solution Design: Partner with Risk, Product, Technology, Operations, and Data teams to understand business needs, assess impacts, and design end-to-end decision and application-flow solutions, including data inputs, outputs, reason codes, and downstream dependencies.
- Testing, Release, and Production Support: Develop test scenarios; perform functional, regression, and data validation; and support UAT, releases, smoke testing, monitoring, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
- Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring: Use SQL and analytical methods to validate decision outcomes, investigate issues, monitor platform and strategy performance, and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, customer experience, efficiency, and controls.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of related experience in decision platforms, business rules or workflow automation, software delivery, data analysis, or a comparable technical and analytical role.
- Hands-on experience translating business requirements into configurable rules, workflows, data mappings, integrations, or system changes.
- Proficiency in SQL for analysis, validation, and troubleshooting, with working knowledge of Python and/or Java.
- Experience testing changes across the software delivery lifecycle and supporting releases, monitoring, or production issue resolution.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment with business and technical stakeholders to deliver changes from requirement through implementation
- Experience with decisioning or workflow platforms such as Provenir, Taktile, FICO, Experian PowerCurve, Pega, Drools, or comparable tools.
- Knowledge of consumer lending, financial services, credit, fraud, or collections strategies.
- Experience with APIs, JSON, application-flow orchestration, experimentation, or dynamic customer journeys.
- Experience with version control, agile delivery, automated testing, or CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- Advanced SQL and strong data-analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of Python and/or Java, plus a practical understanding of APIs, JSON, data mappings, and system integrations.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot business rules, decision logic, and workflow solutions.
- Strong testing discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to reliable production outcomes.
- Demonstrated ownership, dependability, sound work ethic, and follow-through.
- Collaborative team player who communicates openly, supports peers, and shares knowledge.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple changes and learn new platforms and business domains quickly.
Nice to Have
- Additional education or training in systems, data, analytics, or financial services is an asset.
- Relevant cloud, data, software, or decision-platform certifications are an asset.
Education + Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data/analytics, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
