Description
Build the Market Leader in Satellite Analytics with us at LiveEO
At LiveEO, we combine Space Technology with AI to solve problems here on Earth. Our satellite-based monitoring solutions help Infrastructure operators and industrial companies to make their operations more ecological, safer, and more efficient.
LiveEO is applying the latest developments in artificial intelligence to analyse satellite data and is bringing the insights of earth observation data to customers in the enterprise sector. LiveEO’s ambitious goal is to monitor 1 billion assets across the globe with its unique SaaS solution until 2030. Our team is as global as the satellite data we process and the customers we serve. Together, we are building something big.
Our Government team is growing fast: dedicated business development for Germany and for EU institutions, with more to come. What it doesn't have yet is marketing — the force multiplier. As our first dedicated Government marketing hire, you will build LiveEO's defence & government marketing from the ground up: positioning, content, PR and events, as a true generalist who owns the whole picture.
Your challenge
1. Positioning & product marketing
- Own government/defence positioning, messaging and value propositions — resilience, situational awareness, ISR — across LiveEO's offering including our own satellite constellation, Twinspector
- Build and maintain the collateral suite: capability briefs, decks, one-pagers, materials supporting tenders and more
- Own the government presence on the LiveEO website and keep messaging sharp against competitor/peer positioning in the European defence-tech and EO landscape
- Build and execute the strategic communications and content plan: white papers, expert articles, use-case stories
- Own press releases and announcements (contracts, partnerships, milestones) together with leadership
- Build relationships with defence, security and space trade media across Germany and Europe
- Drive executive visibility: LinkedIn presence, interviews, speaking opportunities for the Government leadership
- Own the defence & government event calendar across Europe (e.g. AFCEA, Berlin Security Conference, ILA, Eurosatory, space/EO industry events and NATO-affiliated formats)
- Run participation end-to-end: selection and budget, booth/presence, speaking slots, briefing the BD team, structured lead follow-up
- Create the Government marketing playbook from scratch — processes, templates, agency/freelancer network where needed
- Keep a simple view of what works (share of voice, inbound interest, event outcomes) and feed it back into planning with BD and central marketing
Your profile
- 6–7+ years of marketing, sales or similar experience in the defense or secutiry sector. You are familiar with defence-tech, military lingo and communication towards armed forces.
- Generalist track record covering product marketing, content, PR and events — not just one discipline
- Excellent writing and editing in German (C1+) and English — from press release to capability brief
- Understanding of how government/defense organizations communicate and procure (protocol, sensitivity, long cycles)
- Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin (hybrid); willingness to travel ~20–30% across Europe
- Eligibility for security clearance (typically requiring EU or NATO citizenship)
- Familiarity with Earth observation, space or geospatial technology is a plus
- Additional European languages (French especially useful for EU/NATO scope) is a plus
- Public affairs / government relations exposure is a plus
