SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an Program Analyst. In this role, you'll help bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions by supporting the analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement of insurance products, processes, and systems. As a key member of the dedicated Commercial team, you'll partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Operations to gather requirements, document business processes, validate solutions, and support strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, improving processes, and helping deliver high-quality solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.
What you’d be doing:
- Partner with business, product, engineering, and operational stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive requirements documentation, process flows, user stories, and supporting artifacts.
- Collaborate with engineering and solution design teams to ensure requirements are well-defined, understood, and aligned with business objectives.
- Review and validate requirements with stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment across impacted teams.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance teams to support testing efforts and ensure delivered solutions meet documented business requirements.
- Analyze existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, increased efficiency, and enhanced user experiences.
- Support the documentation and refinement of business processes, operational procedures, and system capabilities.
- Build strong working relationships through a combination of virtual collaboration, office visits, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and in-person working sessions.
- Facilitate discussions and working sessions with stakeholders across multiple functions, locations, and time zones.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements management, documentation standards, and business analysis practices.
- Support implementation activities, issue resolution, and post-launch follow-up as needed.
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives that support organizational priorities.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Insurance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience, preferably within Commercial Insurance.
- Experience gathering, documenting, analyzing, and validating business requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with insurance policy administration, sales, servicing, or operational workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and geographically distributed environment, leveraging both virtual and in-person collaboration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners located across multiple offices and time zones.
- Ability and willingness to travel periodically for team meetings, stakeholder engagement, office visits, offsites, and company events (approximately 10–15% annually).
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Experience working with Smartsheet, Confluence, Jira, or similar project and requirements management tools.
- Experience reverse engineering business processes, system functionality, or requirements documentation.
- Familiarity with XML, JSON, SQL, or other technical concepts used in software development environments.
- Experience working within Agile development teams and methodologies.
- Experience supporting insurance product implementations, enhancements, or operational transformation initiatives.
