As a Security Officer Part Time Access Point Security in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Our Access Control Officers support a welcoming, well-managed food and beverage location by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting employees and visitors. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes navigating software applications, managing emails, and utilizing online resources effectively.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Document daily activities, access-control events, and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
