This Ops Readiness Project lead role sits within Global TTS Client Operations, supporting Domestic and Instant Payments implementations across regions. The role is execution-focused with growing leadership accountability, partnering with Product, Technology, Operations, and Data teams to deliver client solutions aligned to the Global Target Operating Model (TOM).
This role is responsible for hands-on delivery, stakeholder coordination, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Operations readiness lead - Responsible for day to day management of all Operational Readiness activities for Domestic payments and capture of E2E Process and Procedures for launch.
- Responsible to understand the end to end product mapping, client requirement, Validate solution for alignment to Global Target Operating Model, review solution, Ensure the right platforms are considered for development and implementation
- Work with Product, technology and other stakeholders on Operations readiness and align with project plan
- Work with regional and global teams to lead the implementation.
- Understand Global Target Operating Model definitions and ensure to drive the implementation for alignment with high scoring/KPI.
- Be key partner for Data Governance review and work to lead the data quality related discussions.
- Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements
- Meet with end users to understand business needs, write requirements, conduct walkthroughs on requirement documents and obtain Project Sponsor, Product and Operations approvals.
- Review of Functional Requirements to Business Requirements to ensure Technology has understood and met the end users’ needs/expectations.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
- Apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving
- Collaboration with all partners on any project delays, risk assessment and risk mitigation plans.
- Status reporting to Project Stakeholders, Product and Operations Partners
- Prepare Post project MIS, lessons learned and conduct continuous process improvement reviews
- Understand the bank environment and compliance and regulatory requirements
- Work with regional and global team and implement the best standards across teams.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Skills & Competencies
- 15+ years of managing or participating in projects and teams within the finance and 5 years in a professional management role
- 5+ years of work experience in banking, transaction services, cash management, payments, or related functions may include consumer or financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm.
- Experience/knowledge in Payment’s product development/ processing / implementations.
- A firm understanding and working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with excellent TTS Cash Product Knowledge.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex operational productivity programs.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience of Agile transformation & automation programs
- Proficient with current AI tools , prompts, presets, and awareness of emerging industry trends
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective stakeholder communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
