Position Summary
The Pilates Coordinator develops, coordinates, and supervises the overall direction of the Life Studio. They ensure continuous professional growth and development of all Life Studio team members. They will oversee that Pilates Instructors provide cutting-edge mind body instruction through a variety of educational and fun classes that promotes mind and body well-being leading to positive self-esteem in a safe environment. The Pilates Coordinator is responsible for providing one-on-one services that will further enhance the member’s mind body fitness experience. They will also assist in creating schedules and completing record keeping according to standard operating procedures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive mind body programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their comprehensive personal health and fitness goals
- Coordinates class offerings, schedules, and staffing according to national standards
- Monitors and instructs clients during class and private training sessions on the safe and effective use of Pilates training equipment
- Delivers private Pilates training programs based on referring physician’s instructions
- Refers members to appropriate instructor or class based on level and knowledge when necessary
- Promotes and sells all Life Studio programs and services throughout the club and community
- Provides education and motivation to personal trainers to prescribe and sell Life Studio programs and services to their personal training clients
- Meets with the Personal Training Department Head and the Assistant Department Head consistently to review business plans, business development, and integration initiative with the Life Studio, Personal Training, and Group Fitness team
- Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations to the Personal Training Department Head
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- 3 years of teaching and participation experience in Pilates formats
- 2 years of sales experience
- Pilates Instruction Certification
- Certified Personal Trainer
- CPR and AED Certified
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb and lift up to 15 pounds
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field
- PEAK Pilates Certification
- Additional Certification such as American Council on Exercise, National Strength and Conditions Association or American College of Sports Medicine
Pay
This position will be paid on a commission basis tied to performance goals. The minimum pay for the position will be in excess of one-and-one-half times the applicable minimum wage per hour.Benefits
