Description
Our client is a leading global law firm with offices across Asia, Europe, and the United States, recognised consistently as one of the world's premier practices. The firm is seeking an English-speaking Senior Analyst in Information Governance to serve as the subject matter expert for their Asia region, covering the Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo offices. This is a regional individual contributor role within the global Information Governance department, reporting to the Senior Manager in the States and working closely with Enterprise Systems, Desktop Engineering, and the Litigation Technology teams.
The successful candidate will own the full spectrum of information governance technology for the region: managing client document transfers and iManage Work migrations, maintaining the firm's traditional (paper) records management system, leading the transition from H: network drives to OneDrive, and developing protocols for C: drive compliance. The role involves handling day-to-day IG Jira tickets, managing offsite storage vendor relationships, supporting data loss prevention efforts, and evaluating and recommending new IG technology and AI tools. You will also be taking part in regional project management, deliver end-user training on iManage Work for new joiners, mentor junior IG team members, and collaborate with Office Administrators and Paralegal Management to promote IG best practices across the offices.
Candidates should have 5-7 years of experience in records management, information governance, knowledge management, or legal technology, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment. Candidates from an IT training, IT support, and library services (with strong IT applications and data management experience) background are welcome. Confident English communication skills are essential whilst additional competency in Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese are advantageous.
Proficiency in iManage Work and IRM is strongly preferred, along with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Co-pilot). Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to train and advise lawyers and staff at all levels. Candidates must be willing to work additional hours and travel (approximately twice a year and as required) to support international regional offices.
