Description
River Hospital is seeking a Per Diem ER Clerk/Technician for our Emergency Department.
Job Purpose
It is the employee’s responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
Job Purpose
Responsibilities of this job include attending to daily needs of the patients as delegated by the ER Charge Nurse as well as handling clerical duties under the supervision of the charge nurse.
Qualifications
- Experience as EMT, ER Clerk or similar
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a related position is preferred
- PC and keyboard skills required
- Accurate clerical skills
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary
