We are seeking an Associate Director, Field Medical Affairs responsible for engaging in the exchange of scientific data and other medical and/or scientific information with key opinion leaders (KOLs), health care providers (HCPs), researchers, pharmacists and population-based decision makers. We demonstrate a thorough understanding of solid tumors, including cutaneous oncology, and other tumors of interest within clinical development and aligned with our strategic medical plans.

When & where:
•    Location: Field- CA, NV, HI (preference for candidates residing in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or San Diego areas

•   Travel: approximately 50% of the time, including air travel, overnight and occasionally on weekends

Discover your role: 

•   Establish, foster, cultivate and maintain peer relationships with KOLs. 
•    Act as the primary clinical/scientific resource to HCPs for information pertaining to disease state and our product(s) to ensure awareness and understanding.
•    Identifies and maintains a list of relevant medical/therapeutic area experts, investigators and develop engagement plans.
•    Support evidence generation (company sponsored trials and investigator initiated studies (IIS)) research initiatives
•    Identify and report medical insights.
•    Identifies gaps in research and educational needs to inform medical strategy.
•    Responds to requests for information and presents/discusses scientific and clinical data to appropriate audience in a compliant manner.
•    Performs disease management and therapeutic area education with identified practitioners, payers and researchers.
•    Attends medical conferences to collect and report relevant, scientific, clinical, & competitive intelligence with the purpose of informing internal partners.
•    Ensures company policies, procedures, principles and financial controls are maintained with integrity and professionalism is displayed internally and externally.

This role requires: 
•    A terminal scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP or DVM) is required.
•    8+ years of experience with a minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Oncology Medical Science Liaison function is required.
•    Knowledge or experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is required, and experience in cutaneous oncology is preferred.
•    Established relationships with KOLs in thoracic malignancies and knowledge of institutions focused on Solid Tumor Malignancies preferred.
•    Drug launch experience is strongly preferred.
•    Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, pharma regulations/compliant practices, and OIG guidelines.
•    Residency in the assigned territory and possession and maintaining a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
