OVERVIEW
The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. LAFC is invested in the world’s game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director, Ticket Sales, will play a primary role in building, providing continuous development to the sales team, as well as setting and executing the overall ticket sales strategy for the organization. This position will directly oversee the Group and Season Ticket Sales staff while providing secondary leadership support to the other areas within the sales department (Tourism Sales, Membership Sales, Premium Sales).
This role reports to the Sr. Director, Ticket Sales.
LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the primary leader in managing, providing continuous education, and mentorship to the Season Ticket, Group, and Premium Sales teams.
- Provide leadership support in the management of the Premium Sales, Membership Sales, and Tourism Sales teams.
- Implement and manage department-wide sales training programs while sharing best practices to improve staff performance and impact.
- Serve as the lead in building scalable group sales programs leveraging local and regional relationships.
- Continuously develop new campaigns and department strategies to grow and maximize ticket sales revenues for upcoming seasons, as well as sell-through allotment for non-LAFC soccer matches.
- Collaborate with Data Strategy & Business Analytics team to improve data acquisition and utilization in the following areas:
- Sales campaigns
- Lead scoring
- Dynamic pricing
- Inventory management
- Sales rep activity and pipeline management
- Strategize new ideas to enhance club and premium experiences at BMO Stadium.
- Continuously update and re-design compensation plans and incentive plans in order to drive results and drive top performers.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University required, major in Business or Sports Management preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years’ in ticket sales, with at least 3 years of management experience required.
- Experience running season ticket campaigns, premium sales campaigns, and renewals required.
- Proficient in CRM databases and softwares preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and execute in a timely manner.
- Must be able to adapt in a fast paced work environment with challenging demands and frequent changes.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Must possess a professional demeanor and has the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively – both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Google Workplace Programs (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, ect.)
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires.
SALARY RANGE
At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the compensation for this role is $115,000 per year. This role is eligible for additional compensation through commission.
