Enterprise Data Governance Solutions Lead - Director

Citi is looking for a senior Enterprise Data Governance Solutions Lead to own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Adjustments Governance and Transformation across a global financial institution. Sitting within the Enterprise Data Office, this role shapes how Citi identifies, governs, and remediates data adjustments at scale — directly influencing regulatory outcomes and the quality of enterprise data. This is a high-visibility leadership position that engages regularly with regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders across lines of business and functions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise Data Governance Solutions strategy by defining and driving the end-to-end Adjustments Governance and Transformation plan, ensuring commitments are met and adoption is sustained across the enterprise.
• Own delivery of Adjustment and Manual Touch Point remediation regulatory mandates, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time and meet regulatory expectations.
• Chair the Adjustment Governance Forum, guiding stakeholders across lines of business, regions, and functions on consistent application of the Enterprise Adjustment Definition and governance best practices.
• Direct the adoption of the Data Automation Assessment Plan for adjustments enterprise-wide, collaborating with functions, regions, and lines of business to remediate adjustment use cases.
• Champion AI-driven solutions within the Enterprise Data Office, applying artificial intelligence tools to perform root cause analysis on data adjustments and translating findings into actionable remediation strategies.
• Lead monthly Adjustment Variance Analysis, including commentary and domain engagement, to maintain ongoing visibility and accountability across the enterprise.
• Represent Citi in discussions with regulators and internal audit, serving as the senior point of accountability for adjustment governance matters.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, with full accountability for performance management, hiring, compensation, and budget oversight.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 15 or more years of experience in banking or financial services, including 8 to 10 or more years leading cross-functional teams at a senior management level.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to identify root causes, evaluate build-versus-buy trade-offs, and articulate AI-driven solutions to senior leadership in clear business terms.
• Established expertise in enterprise data governance, with a track record of designing and executing frameworks that improve data quality and meet regulatory commitments — including the use of data lineage, glossary, and data quality tooling.
• Technical proficiency in data warehousing, reporting, and analytics, with the ability to interpret complex data environments and translate findings into governance actions.
• Proven experience engaging with regulators and internal audit on data governance matters, including presenting plans, managing inquiries, and supporting examinations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organizational change within a complex, global institution, applying change management principles to drive adoption and measure outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align senior leaders across multiple functions and regions on a common direction.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Risk and Finance functions within a financial services environment, providing familiarity with the data domains most relevant to this role.
• Prior experience working directly with regulators on data plan execution and governance remediation programs.
• Familiarity with Citi's Data Operating Model and enterprise data governance structures.
