HGV Workshop Fitter
Bedford
£17.64 per hour | 45 hours per week | Flexible Hours | Temp to Perm
About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter to join a busy team. This is a hands on role working on a range of vehicles, with previous experience working on Class B vehicles and LGVs highly desirable.
The role offers flexible working hours between 06:00 and 18:00, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
What You’ll Do
Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
Work on Class B vehicles and LGVs
Carry out routine vehicle inspections
Ensure vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard
Complete general workshop and maintenance duties
Follow all relevant health and safety and workshop procedures
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a Workshop Fitter, Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar role
Experience working on Class B vehicles and LGVs
Good mechanical knowledge and practical skills
A full UK driving licence would be an advantage
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Who Might Suit This Role
This role would suit an experienced Workshop Fitter or Vehicle Mechanic who has worked on commercial vehicles and is comfortable carrying out maintenance and repairs in a busy workshop environment.
