Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Response in Alabaster, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for members, visitors, and employees. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to members, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, or conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
