Dohrn Transfer is currently seeking a Full Time Tire Clerk at our Rock Island, Il terminal!

*Heavy forklift usage, loading and unloading trailers*

 

Pay: $20.63/hrHours: Monday - Friday, 8a-430p

Purpose:

To keep equipment parts and tire inventories accurate and orderly, and to handle inbound and outbound transfers of parts and tires to and from outside shop locations.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks related to shipping and receiving parts and tires
• Monitor tire inventories in distribution center and outside shops
• Assist in the coordination of annual inventories
• Monitor price fluctuations and escalate discrepancies to supervisor
• Maintenance of parts shelving and general housekeeping duties
• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School completion or equivalent
• Working knowledge of inventory control procedures
• Verbal and written communication skills essential for internal and external customers
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• No record of a driving license suspension or revocation for more than 30 days, covering the 36-month period prior to the order date of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); A suspension for failure to pay and or failure to appear will be considered provided that there was no conviction for driving while suspended during this time period
• No record of citation or conviction for any serious traffic violation during the 60-month period prior to the order date of a Motor Vehicle Record
• No past pattern or record of citations or convictions for more than three motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• No past pattern or record of involvement in more than one at-fault traffic accidents and no more than two motor vehicle violation during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the MVR
• Must pass a NON -Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result
• Excellent attendance

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Medium work; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently • Subject to both environmental conditions: activities occur inside and outside; Outside work may be in extreme weather conditions • Subject to standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching particularly for sustained periods of time • Subject to noise: there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level • Subject to hazards: includes a variety of physical working conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and exposure to chemicals • Subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases • Subject to standing for particularly for sustained periods of time • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operate machines and motor vehicles; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye • Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers• Talking and hearing required to communication with and listen to others to share or receive information

Starting from USD $21.00/Hr.
