Digital Solutions Engineer

Overview

The Digital Solutions Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, delivering, and optimizing secure, scalable digital solutions across Titan America’s manufacturing, distribution, logistics, sales, and corporate functions. This role translates complex business needs into integrated solution architectures, leads cross-functional delivery from discovery through production support, and serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, IT teams, and strategic vendors. The position owns the technical direction and lifecycle of assigned platforms—including terminal and warehouse loading, dispatch and ticketing, delivery performance, process automation, reporting, document management, and related integrations—while advancing standardization, reliability, data quality, user adoption, and measurable business value.

Responsibilities

Key initiatives and solution domains include:

• Architect and deliver integrated digital solutions for production, manufacturing, terminal, logistics, and distribution operations.
• Modernize reporting and data-access capabilities through governed data models, analytics, dashboards, APIs, and automated information flows.
• Lead enterprise automation and digital transformation initiatives using AI, workflow tools, and complementary technologies.
• Standardize, integrate, and upgrade plant and business applications to improve resilience, cybersecurity, usability, supportability, and total cost of ownership.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including intelligent automation and AI-enabled solutions, and develop business cases, prototypes, roadmaps, and adoption plans.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Own the architecture, technical roadmap, lifecycle, and service health of assigned business applications and digital platforms.
• Partner with business leaders and product owners to define outcomes, map processes, prioritize opportunities, and convert requirements into scalable solution designs.
• Provide technical leadership for vertical platforms such as Command Alkon Apex, BCMI, fleet and telematics solutions, and related enterprise systems.
• Design application, integration, data, security, and environment architectures; define standards and reusable patterns that reduce complexity and technical debt.
• Lead solution delivery across feasibility, business case, vendor selection, design, configuration or development, testing, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Establish technical requirements and acceptance criteria; lead design reviews and ensure solutions satisfy performance, availability, maintainability, security, and user-experience expectations.
• Direct system integration, interface monitoring, data migration, release planning, and environment coordination across internal teams, third parties, and cloud or hosted services.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex incidents and recurring problems; lead root-cause analysis and implement durable corrective and preventive actions.
• Define operational metrics, monitoring, support models, documentation, disaster-recovery expectations, and service-level objectives for business-critical solutions.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, change management, audit, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor technical performance, statements of work, estimates, risks, dependencies, and delivery commitments; challenge proposed designs and costs when appropriate.
• Mentor analysts and engineers, promote engineering best practices, facilitate knowledge transfer, and strengthen solution ownership across IT and the business.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or related discipline; equivalent advanced technical experience may be accepted with non-technical degrees.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in solution engineering, application architecture, business systems, digital transformation, or enterprise application delivery.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from business discovery through deployment, stabilization, and value realization.
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture, system integration, APIs, databases, reporting and analytics, cloud or hosted applications, identity and access, and application security.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, SQL, integration technologies, and enterprise application lifecycle practices is strongly preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing, cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, logistics, transportation, dispatch, ticketing, or supply-chain solutions is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of SAP and integrations between ERP and operational platforms is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, and executive stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence decisions without direct authority.
• Ability to balance strategic roadmaps with operational priorities, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and make sound technical decisions in a changing environment.
• Architecture, cloud, Microsoft, ITIL, agile, project management, or relevant industry certifications are a plus.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.
