Position Summary

AMA Consulting LLC is seeking experienced Executive / Leadership Coaches to support senior leaders participating in a leadership development program.

The Coach will provide confidential, individualized development support to senior-level participants, including leadership assessment debriefs, development planning, goal setting, and ongoing coaching. Coaches will help participants translate assessment findings and identified competency gaps into practical development priorities and observable leadership behaviors.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide confidential individual executive and leadership coaching to senior-level participants.
• Conduct or support confidential debriefs of leadership assessment results.
• Help participants understand leadership strengths, development needs, and identified competency gaps.
• Develop actionable Individual Development Plans (IDPs) aligned with assessment results and program competencies.
• Establish development goals and support participants in translating goals into observable workplace behaviors.
• Provide ongoing coaching, accountability, reflection, and reinforcement throughout the program.
• Coach leaders on areas such as organizational change, strategic thinking, collaboration, team effectiveness, employee engagement, and accountability.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of assessment results and individual coaching discussions.
• Coordinate appropriately with the broader program team while protecting participant-specific information.
• Support measurement and documentation of development progress consistent with established confidentiality protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, Leadership, Education, or a related field.
• Five (5)+ years of executive, leadership, management, or organizational coaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience coaching executives, department heads, senior managers, or comparable leadership populations.
• Experience conducting leadership assessment debriefs and translating findings into actionable development priorities.
• Experience supporting Individual Development Plans, leadership goal setting, and behavioral development.
• Strong interpersonal, active-listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish trust and maintain confidentiality with senior-level clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• ICF or comparable recognized professional coaching credential.
• Experience coaching leaders within local government or comparable public-sector organizations.
• Experience with 360-degree feedback, multi-rater assessments, or other validated leadership assessment methodologies.
• Certification in one or more recognized leadership, behavioral, personality, or assessment instruments.
• Experience coaching senior leaders through organizational change, strategic leadership, team effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration.
