Process Overview*

Quantitative Strategies is a part of GBS India and works for Quantitative Strategies & Data Group (QSDG) and Global Markets Data Management Group.

QSDG partners with Trading, Structuring, Risk, and Technology teams to identify business opportunities and challenges, develop quantitative models and analytics, build scalable pricing and risk solutions, perform testing and validation, and deploy production-ready tools that support trading, portfolio management, regulatory requirements, and strategic decision-making across Global Markets.

Job Description*

The quant associate is expected to support trading desks, risk management, and business stakeholders through the development of analytics, pricing tools, risk models, and automation solutions. The role involves partnering closely with traders, quantitative strategists, risk managers, and technology teams to enhance decision-making, improve risk management capabilities, and deliver scalable solutions that support business growth and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities*

• Develop and maintain quantitative models for pricing, risk measurement across financial products
• Partner with trading, risk, and technology teams to deliver analytical solutions that support business and regulatory objectives
• Build and enhance Python-based tools, data pipelines, and automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and scalability
• Perform quantitative analysis of market, credit, counterparty risk exposures and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities using statistical and data science techniques.
• Assist in implementation of regulatory frameworks, capital models, stress testing, and risk reporting methodologies
• Produce clear documentation, presentations, and management reporting to communicate analytical insights and recommendations
• Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure, controls, and analytical capabilities across the business

Education*

 Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field

Experience Range*

 24+ months experience

 Foundational skills*

·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into quantitative solutions

·  Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software development best practices, including testing, debugging, and version control

·  Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Trading, Risk, and Technology teams

·  Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, well-controlled solutions

Desired skills:

Solid understanding of mathematics, statistics, probability, and numerical methods
