As the Logistics Security Program Manager for EMEA, this role is an essential part of Micron’s Global Security team. The person leads the management and continuous refinement of the company’s important logistics security efforts across the EMEA area. This position serves as the regional authority, advancing risk-focused security methods that protect high-value shipments, improve supply chain durability, and lower transportation security risks in intricate multimodal logistics networks.

As a senior individual contributor, the Logistics Security Program Manager takes charge of regional program initiatives on their own. They apply solid judgment to shifting threat conditions and collaborate with colleagues across functions and external partners to produce security results. The position involves balancing security, operational efficiency, and business continuity while transforming regional risks into scalable, practical controls that advance cargo visibility, shipment protection, and incident readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the EMEA logistics security authority, guiding the creation and implementation of risk-focused security programs for valuable and sensitive shipments involving carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
• Develop, apply, and manage shipment security controls, including tracking, telematics, geofencing, chain of custody, tamper detection, monitoring, critical issue handling, recovery processes, and carrier compliance requirements.
• Conduct carrier, route, lane, and regional risk assessments; evaluate security technologies and vendors; and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, performance metrics, audits, and control improvements.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, Global Security, Legal, site teams, and external providers to integrate security requirements into contracts, operating procedures, and supplier performance standards.
• Lead logistics security vendor management activities, including solution evaluations, pilots, implementations, service-level reviews, and cross-border execution considerations across multimodal transportation networks.
• Coordinate monitoring, incident response, and recovery efforts for theft, diversion, tampering, route deviations, and other logistics security events, working with carriers, recovery providers, and law enforcement as needed.
• Develop and maintain logistics security policies, standards, playbooks, governance frameworks, and audit criteria aligned with industry guidelines such as TAPA FSR/TSR.
• Prepare executive-level briefings, risk assessments, incident summaries, supplier scorecards, and strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making and measurable program improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Extensive experience managing logistics security, transportation risk, cargo protection, and supply chain security initiatives throughout EMEA, with a proven history as a senior individual contributor advancing regional implementation and operational excellence.
• Strong experience in establishing and maintaining shipment security protocols, including cargo tracking, telematics, geofencing, route management, escorts, smart seals, monitoring, incident response, and recovery operations.
• Verified experience in examining route, carrier, facility, and provider risks; analyzing security and performance information; and formulating actionable controls that reinforce security while sustaining operational continuity.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and collaborator management skills, partnering with carriers, 3PLs, suppliers, security vendors, and internal teams to align on security objectives, manage vendor performance, and deliver executive-level recommendations and incident communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience and/or professional certifications in supply chain security, risk management, logistics, or related areas preferred.
• Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex logistics and security risks into clear, actionable business recommendations for diverse collaborators.
• Demonstrated capability to guide through fast-paced, rapidly evolving situations by applying good judgment, analytical reasoning, and risk-informed decision-making.
• Proficient in developing positive interactions across internal teams, carriers, 3PLs, and external providers while encouraging security outcomes through influence and accountability.
• Effective program management skills encompass balancing security, operational efficiency, cost, scalability, and business continuity. They also involve applying AI and data-driven insights to strengthen risk management.
