Overview:

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomy to work part time days in the central testing lab! (0900-1300)

As a clinical lab assistant-phlebotomy duties are to perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels.

Education

• High School Grad or Equivalent (required)
• Phlebotomy course (preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)
• BLS required within 60 days of hire

Experience

• 1 year of experience

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.88 - $29.43 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage.
