CDL-A Semi-Local Flatbed Driver – Salt Lake City, UT

Looking for strong pay, consistent miles, and a semi-local CDL-A position based in Salt Lake City? We are hiring an experienced CDL-A Company Driver for a dedicated flatbed operation hauling building materials throughout the western United States.

This position averages approximately 2,500 miles per week with early morning starts, consistent freight, and an average of three stops per trip.

PAY & COMPENSATION

• Average $100,000 per year
• Starting pay of $0.67 CPM
• Pay increases up to $0.71 CPM
• $0.02 CPM annual increases
• $60 per stop
• Safety bonus opportunities
• 6 paid holidays

SCHEDULE & HOME TIME

• Typically 6 days per week
• Occasional 5-day weeks
• Typical schedule is Sunday through Friday
• Start times between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM
• Approximately 2–3 overnight layovers per week

THE JOB

• Semi-local flatbed operation
• Approximately 2,500 miles per week
• 53-foot flatbed trailers
• Building and roofing materials
• Average 3 stops per trip
• Freight is loaded and unloaded by onsite personnel
• Driver is responsible for strapping and unstrapping loads
• Some backhaul loads may require tarping
• Operating area includes UT, CA, NV, NM, CO, TX, ID, OR, WA, MT and WY

EQUIPMENT

• Assigned automatic sleeper truck
• International or Freightliner equipment
• Truck remains at the facility during scheduled time off
• Uniforms provided
• Steel-toe boots required and reimbursed

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of trucking experience
• Flatbed experience preferred but not required
• HazMat endorsement must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• HazMat cost is reimbursed
• Must be comfortable strapping and unstrapping flatbed loads
• Must be comfortable with backing and close-quarter maneuvering
• Must be willing to work the required schedule and overnight layovers
