Your role and responsibilities :

 

You will be joining as a Software Test Engineer in the Traction Division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will work closely with global engineering teams supporting controller modernization, embedded software migration, customer project customization, type testing, and system validation activities for auxiliary power conversion systems. You will be responsible for migrating legacy customer applications to new hardware platforms while ensuring functional compatibility, product quality, regulatory compliance, and successful deployment in applications.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Traction Division in Bangalore, India

 

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Test Requirement Analysis, Manual Testing, Test Automation code development in Python activities in line with the quality management system.
• Maintains the test defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product.
• Supports the Product owner in coordinating to provide and receive the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the architecture and development teams.
• Prepare the detailed usecase for the requirements and defects
• Develop testcases in optimized way to cover functional and system test and Maintain test environment and lab. Creates and executes the Release test descriptions and test plans for the scope of project being executed. If needed also involved in function and integration testing.
• Maintains the test defect logs captured during the release testing of the assigned product. Resolves customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products.

 

 

Qualifications for the role :

 

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Minimum 3+ years of experience in Software testing
• Understanding and Analyzing the Application under Test
• Creating Test scenarios and Collecting Test Data and creating an test plan
• Execute test cases manually & develop and execute test automation through Python with Knowledge on Testcomplete Automation Tool
• Identifying and selecting the automation test cases.Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the test cases. Identifying end to end scenarios and code modularity.
• Analyzing Test Results and Reporting Defect's
• Good understanding of Requirements management, Code
• Management, CI/CD and different testing phases including Release testing. Good understanding of Test Automation Strategy and Process.
