Job Summary:
Manages complex data processes, develops rigorous analytical models, and interprets economic, demographic, and technical trends to produce accurate insights that support regulatory compliance, tariff and load forecasting needs, and informed decision making. Collaborates across stakeholders to acquire, validate, and analyze data while improving processes and analytical capabilities to ensure reliability, methodological consistency, and effective service to customers.Job Description:
Acquires data from multiple stakeholders and data sources adhering to specific timetables and data requirements to ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data by performing rigorous cleaning, error checking, and validation processes.
Supports regulatory compliance activities by coordinating data analysis, preparing required documentation, and contributing to tariff study development to ensure accurate, complete, and regulatory‑aligned analytical outputs.
Provides support to current processes and identifies areas for improvement to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Develops and maintains econometric forecast models used in LUMA’s medium- and long-term forecast ensuring analytical accuracy and methodological consistency and continuous optimization of model structure and predictive capabilities.
Analyzes technical, operational, and administrative activities through the method of sampling, statistical compilation, and data processing to determine the social, economic, and financial impact of energy programs in the short-, medium-, and long-term.
Interprets and evaluates economic, demographic, and technical data by determining result reliability, assessing emerging trends, and recommending viable options to ensure accurate insights that guide effective decision making on electricity demand and economic issues.
Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to assess complex requirements and translate them into cohesive technical architectures to ensure efficient delivery, reduced risk, and dependable operational continuity.
Follows established company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and industry regulations.
Participates in storm restoration tasks and assigned drills to contribute to the safe and reliable recovery of service
Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications to support team goals and operational flexibility.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Analytics/Data Science, Economy, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitatively rigorous field.
Master's preferred
Experience
3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, process improvement, business strategic support (interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, forecast, statistical results) and other analytical functions.
Experience within the electricity industry strongly preferred.
Additional experience may substitute for required education when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:
Associate’s degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 3 years of experience performing a previous Analyst role.
High School or equivalent (GED) when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing similar functions and at least 5 years of experience performing a previous Analyst role.
Competencies (Skills)
Proficiency in statistical software programs, including SPSS, EViews, Python and R, or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience with econometric or statistical forecasting or modelling and interpreting results. Experience in energy load forecasting preferred.
Organized and able to communicate both verbally and in writing, and able to liaise with other departments to coordinate data gathering.
A good understanding of a heavily regulated industry, and previous experience working at T&D utility assets.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, with a minimum of intermediate proficiency.
Proficient skills in the use of computer applications (MS Office suite)
