HealthCare Recruiters International (HCRI) is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON, RN) to provide nursing and operational leadership across Behavioral Health Medication Management and Integrated Primary Care Clinics within a mission-driven nonprofit organization. The Director will oversee a team of 8 nursing and clinic support staff while leading nursing practice, clinic operations, medication safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across both service lines. The organization offers flexibility in structuring the 40-hour workweek, including Saturday scheduling options.

Director Responsibilities

• Direct nursing practice across the Behavioral Health Medication Management and Primary Care Clinics
• Lead and supervise a team of 8 nursing and clinic support staff
• Establish and maintain nursing policies, protocols, clinical workflows, and nursing coverage
• Oversee clinic scheduling, triage, patient flow, and follow-up
• Lead injection and long-acting injectable (LAI) administration, lab monitoring, refill protocols, prior authorizations, and prescriber support
• Ensure medication reconciliation, allergy verification, documentation, medication storage, inventory, and controlled-substance accountability
• Coordinate clozapine, lithium, metabolic, and other high-risk medication monitoring
• Oversee Primary Care nursing services including intake vitals, point-of-care testing, chronic-disease monitoring, immunizations, and preventive-health screenings
• Develop referral and warm-handoff workflows across Behavioral Health, Medication Management, and Primary Care
• Recruit, orient, schedule, supervise, develop, and evaluate nursing and clinic support staff
• Maintain staff licensure, certifications, competencies, and required training
• Partner closely with the Medical Director on clinical protocols, prescriber support, and high-risk patient management
• Lead nursing-related compliance, quality improvement, risk management, and audit readiness
• Investigate medication errors, adverse events, incidents, and near-misses and implement corrective actions
• Partner with executive leadership on staffing plans, clinic budgets, supplies, equipment, and operational needs
• Optimize EHR workflows, documentation, templates, quality reporting, and nursing processes

Director Requirements

• Current, unrestricted RN license issued by or recognized in New Mexico
• BSN required
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience
• 2+ years of supervisory, charge, or nursing management experience
• Experience in behavioral health, medication management, ambulatory care, primary care, or community health
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed
• Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
• Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, FQHC, or integrated behavioral health/primary care experience preferred
• PMH-BC or equivalent certification preferred
• Accreditation, Medicaid/MCO compliance, EHR optimization, or clinical quality reporting experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Director Compensation & Benefits

• $95,000–$135,000 annual salary
