Job Summary:
The Recruiter owns full-cycle, high-volume recruiting across La La Land's growing markets, supporting hiring needs from Team Members and Team Leaders to store leadership and other positions as assigned. This role is responsible for driving candidates through the entire recruiting process - from sourcing and screening through interviews, offers, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding handoff. This is a fully on-site position based at La La Land’s Support Center in Dallas, Texas. This role requires in-office attendance five days per week and is not a remote or hybrid position.
The Field Recruiter partners closely with hiring managers and operations leadership to understand staffing needs, maintain strong pipelines, and move quickly in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. This role also owns the backend accuracy of the hiring process, ensuring candidate records, new hire documentation, I-9 requirements, and Paylocity workflows are completed accurately and on time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle recruiting for a high volume of open positions across multiple locations and markets
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates while maintaining consistent hiring standards and a strong candidate experience
- Build and maintain active candidate pipelines to support ongoing hiring needs, new store openings, and urgent staffing priorities
- Partner directly with General Managers, Area Managers, and operations leadership to understand hiring needs, establish priorities, and provide regular recruiting updates
- Manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while meeting hiring goals and maintaining a sense of urgency
- Create, post, and manage job requisitions across Paylocity and external job boards
- Coordinate and manage candidate movement through each stage of the recruiting process, including interviews, feedback, offers, and pre-employment requirements
- Prepare and extend offers while ensuring compensation, position details, start dates, and approvals are accurate
- Own backend hiring administration in Paylocity, ensuring candidate and new hire records are complete and accurate
- Review and maintain Form I-9 documentation and other required new hire paperwork in accordance with company processes and applicable requirements
- Track outstanding onboarding requirements and partner with candidates, hiring managers, and HR to resolve missing or incomplete documentation before start dates
- Support and execute hiring events, new store opening recruiting, and market-specific recruiting initiatives
- Track recruiting activity and pipeline metrics to identify gaps and communicate hiring progress to leadership
- Maintain accurate and confidential candidate and employee information throughout the recruiting and onboarding process
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, and hiring processes
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding
- Ability to successfully manage high-volume recruiting across multiple positions, locations, and hiring managers at once
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills with the ability to build pipelines beyond inbound applicants
- Excellent organization and time-management skills with the ability to quickly shift priorities based on business needs
- Strong interviewing skills and ability to assess candidates for both role requirements and alignment with La La Land's culture
- Clear, warm, and professional written and verbal communication
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around offers, candidate records, I-9 documentation, and new hire information
- Comfort working within an ATS/HRIS; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
- Ability to build strong partnerships with hiring managers and operations leadership while maintaining ownership of the recruiting process
- Ability to work with urgency and independently problem-solve in a fast-paced, growing organization
- Discretion when handling confidential candidate and employee information
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience preferred
- Experience with high-volume recruiting strongly preferred; hospitality, retail, restaurant, or other multi-unit recruiting experience is a plus
- Experience independently managing multiple requisitions and hiring priorities simultaneously
- Experience sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, outreach, referrals, and other recruiting channels
- Experience with ATS/HRIS systems required; Paylocity experience is a plus
- Experience supporting new hire documentation and I-9 processes preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
- Proficiency with standard office and productivity tools and ability to quickly learn new systems
- Must have reliable transportation for occasional local travel between sites
- Ability to travel to support hiring events and new store openings as business needs require
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use may be required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site office environment 5 days per week
- Ability to travel as needed to support recruiting initiatives, hiring events, and new store openings
