Description
This is a 3 – month contract with our client in the banking sector.
We are seeking a specialist to lead a key backlog remediation project to clear balance sheet Assets under Construction (AuC), review WBS projects, establish audit controls, draft a Fixed Asset Policy, and recommend process improvements ahead of an S/4HANA implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Accounting (FI-AA): Manage asset master data, capitalization dates, and useful lives. Process acquisitions, transfers, retirements, and impairments. Validate depreciation runs and reconcile FI-AA to the General Ledger for year-end audit readiness.
- Project Systems (PS): Maintain project definitions, WBS structures, budgets, and cost allocations. Clear AuC backlogs, execute line-item settlements to fixed assets, and lead project close-outs.
- Inventory Management (MM-IM): Verify material master records and info records. Monitor goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, and perform inventory-to-GL reconciliations.
- Governance & Process Improvement: Formulate a business-wide Fixed Asset Policy. Recommend high-level people and process enhancements ahead of S/4HANA implementation and deliver team training.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualifications: Advanced Diploma / National First Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant financial management experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SAP EHP8 FI-AA, PS, and MM-IM modules.
- Compliance & Audit: Proven track record in fixed asset policy drafting, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit schedule preparation.
