About the role
We are looking for a Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer with 3+ years of experience to own actuation end-to-end, from concept through production, at a stealth robotics company tackling hard, unsolved technical challenges. You're a decisive builder who ships things that work, fast, and you're motivated by making a massive positive impact for real people.
What will you be doing?
- Designing, prototyping, and bringing actuators and mechanisms from concept to production
- Developing motion control systems and actuation solutions for cutting-edge robotics hardware
- Applying physics first principles to solve novel, technically demanding engineering problems
- Iterating rapidly on mechanical and mechatronic designs with a bias toward action
- Collaborating cross-functionally to integrate actuation systems into the broader product
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and building actuators, mechanisms, or motion control systems
- Proven track record of shipping impressive hardware — ideally in robotics, aerospace, drones, automotive, or surgical robotics
- Strong understanding of physics first principles and mechanical design fundamentals
- Experience at fast-paced, high-performance engineering environments (e.g., Tesla, SpaceX, Boston Dynamics, Neuralink, Skydio, or similar)
- Decisive, low-ego builder mentality — you do, not just analyze
