Job Description

As a Security Officer Alarm Panel Response Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor alarm panels, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate clearly with team members and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
