What You Will Do

As a Test System Architect Engineer I, at Pratt and Whitney you will.....

The PSCV (Product Safety Certification Validation) Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)Test System Architect serves directly on engine programs to build and deliver the MBSE Verification & Validation modeling Cameo System Modeling Language (SysML) that enables digital test planning, design, and execution of the development engine build and test campaigns that fully meets design verification needs.

The Test System Architect will work as part of a System Validation team to transform legacy, document-based systems engineering processes for Verification and Validation, including Assembly, Instrumentation, and Test planning and design, into a Model-Based systems approach Engine Program(s).

• Test System Modeler – Apply Test System Model framework and methodology in Cameo to Engine Programs.
• Work with MBSE discipline team to develop and deploy the Cameo SysML model for Validation & Verification (V&V) processes on the program to serve as the Authoritative Source of Truth for Validation
• Planning and System Integration activities.
• Collaborate with design and validation engineers to capture all critical system functions and key inputs/outputs in the Test System Model to enable robust test planning and execution.
• Work with Program Validation team to ensure the Test System Model meets the needs of Engineering, Program, and Customer.
• Approximately 10% travel may be required to collaborate with different build and test sites.

• Candidates hired will begin their first 2.5 years at Pratt & Whitney as part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP). This program consists of three rotations that are 12 months - 9 months - 9 months in duration and typically occur in three distinct disciplines within the hiring department. The intent of our EDP is to offer breadth & depth in various technical experiences through challenging positions available in our organizations. This program will help expand your professional and technical competencies that will serve as the foundation for exceptional contributions that you will make at Pratt & Whitney.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Experience working on a team to solve an engineering problem
• Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Bachelors in Systems Engineering
• Aerospace engineering experience
• Experience with Verification, Validation, or Testing
• Experience with Cameo SysML or equivalent

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
