Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of Chaucer's bordereaux data transformation journey. The role goes beyond traditional data oversight, focusing on how bordereaux data can be leveraged as a strategic asset to deliver deeper insight, support smarter decision-making and strengthen delegated authority oversight.

Working across the business, you will help shape the future-state bordereaux data operating model, driving improvements in data quality, governance, analytics and automation. You will play a key role in developing a smarter, more efficient and insight-led approach to bordereaux management, helping to build a market-leading delegated authority data capability that differentiates Chaucer in the London market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements in bordereaux data quality, governance and analytics, supporting Chaucer's ambition to create a market-leading delegated authority data capability.
  • Contribute to the transformation of bordereaux data management by identifying opportunities to automate processes, enhance reporting and leverage technology to improve efficiency and insight.
  • Develop and deliver management information, dashboards and analytical reporting that turn bordereaux data into meaningful business intelligence, supporting underwriting, operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support the oversight, governance and continuous improvement of bordereaux reporting and delegated authority data across Chaucer's global portfolio.
  • Review, validate and analyse premium, risk and claims bordereaux, ensuring compliance with Lloyd's, regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
  • Monitor bordereaux data quality performance, investigate exceptions and recurring issues, and conduct root cause analysis to drive sustainable improvements in reporting accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Maintain and enhance bordereaux data quality frameworks, governance controls and quality assurance processes, ensuring delegated authority data remains reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Work closely with outsourced service providers to investigate, respond to and resolve bordereaux and data quality queries, ensuring delivery against agreed service standards.
  • Support the implementation and oversight of delegated authority arrangements, ensuring bordereaux reporting requirements, controls and data standards are appropriately embedded.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner on bordereaux data management, reporting and quality-related matters.
  • Support regulatory reporting, governance committees and portfolio reviews through the provision of accurate, timely and insightful bordereaux data analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance and peer support across the team, promoting best practice, continuous improvement and a culture of accountability for data quality.

Skills & Competencies:

Essential

  • Experience within Delegated Authority, Bordereaux Management or Lloyd's operations.
  • Strong understanding of bordereaux and delegated authority data – Risk and Claims
  • Lloyd's market experience
  • Regulatory reporting knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability.
  • Experience investigating and resolving data quality issues.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and identify trends.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
