System Integration Specialist (ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines)

Job Description

The Systems Integration Specialist oversees the end-to-end site deployment, system interface management, testing, and troubleshooting of Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) and data center building management infrastructure. You will act as the technical bridge between civil/MEP teams, specialized sub-contractors, software vendors, and client operations to ensure all site-deployed systems (ECMS, CCTV, PAVA, Access Control.) integrate seamlessly with zero operational bottlenecks.

1. On-Site Systems Execution & Integration
Oversee site installation, interface management, and hardware/software integration for key building technologies:
● ECMS / BMS: Energy & Environment Control Monitoring Systems, BACnet/Modbus gateway configurations, field sensor integration.
● CCTV / VMS: IP video surveillance, storage network configuration, camera
positioning, software integration with command center video management systems.
● PAVA: Public Address & Voice Alarm systems, audio zoning, integration with Fire
Alarm Control Panels (FACP) for life-safety overrides.
● ACS / Security: Access control, perimeter security, and physical-digital interface
setup.

2. Site Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
● Lead immediate, hands-on root cause analysis for technical failures during
installation, pre-commissioning, and integrated system testing (e.g., signal loss,
protocol handshake failures, network latency, wiring issues).
● Resolve field clashes between ELV cabling/containment and civil/MEP installations..

3. Commissioning, Acceptance & Handover
● Develop and execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Integrated System Testing (IST) protocols for all integrated systems.
● Ensure code compliance and regulatory alignment for life safety interfaces (e.g.,
PAVA-FACP auto-evacuation triggers).
● Lead punch-list resolution and conduct client/facility management staff training prior to project handover.

4. Stakeholder Coordination
● Timely communicate with stakeholders for project update and align scope and
deviation of project. Attends face to face coordination or online set meetings.
● Design and Review Project Plans (Conceptual drawings, Issued for Construction
Drawings, etc.)

Professional Qualifications & Training

• Experience on site project management focused on ELV, Special Systems, or Smart Building Integration in critical facilities projects.

Knowledge and Skills:

• ELV & Building Automation Systems: Understands system architectures for ECMS, BMS, CCTV/VMS, PAVA, Access Control Systems
• (ACS), Intrusion Detection, and Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP).
• Standards & Local Codes: Familiarity with local building codes.
• Construction Site Operations: Solid understanding of construction phases, shop drawing workflows, spatial co-ordination practices, and
• multi-trade work sequences.
• Network Infrastructure & Cybersecurity: Understanding of structured cabling systems.
• Diagnostics & Field Troubleshooting: Hands-on ability to use network analyzers, OTDR/CAT6 testers, and multimeters to trace hardware
• faults.
• Testing & Commissioning Execution: Skill in drafting and executing structured test scripts for Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and cross-
• system Integrated System Testing (IST).
• Project Management Tools: Hands-on experience with scheduling software (MS Office, Smartsheet, etc.).

Technical Competencies

• ELV & Special Systems Architecture: Deep functional knowledge of low-voltage systems including ECMS/BMS, CCTV/VMS, PAVA,
• Access Control, Fire Alarm, and Structured Cabling.
• Network & Protocol Diagnostics: Knowledge with industrial communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, RS485, etc).
• System Interface Management: Ability to manage physical, digital, and functional interfaces between disparate software platforms and
• hardware components.
• Testing & Commissioning (SAT/IST): Hands-on experience developing and executing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Integrated
• System Testing (IST).
• Core / Behavioral Competencies
• On-Site Technical Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills to quickly diagnose signal loss, protocol failure, or
• wiring issues in high-pressure site environments.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Skilled at aligning civil, MEP, trade subcontractors, software vendors, and client teams to prevent
• schedule delays and containment disputes.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Strict adherence to international and local building codes, life-safety mandates, and engineering
• quality standards.
• Risk & Scope Management: Proactive identification of technical interface risks and clear management of variation orders or scope
• creep.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight: Ability to manage specialized vendors, enforce SLAs, and verify field execution quality against
• design specifications.
