Senior Remediation Analyst (6 Month fixed term)

Description
The Senior Remediation Analyst is responsible for supporting the ongoing review and risk assessment of high-risk client files in accordance with internal policies and appliable anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF) and regulatory requirements. The role aims to ensure a comprehensive risk assessment was completed in line with Ogier's revised risk rating methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and gap analyses of existing high-risk client files to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies;
- Conduct screening and public source searches to support risk scoring as required;
- Reassess client risk levels using Ogier's AML/CTF risk rating methodologies and escalate issues or potential concerns as necessary;
- Maintain accurate records of remediation activities and prepare clear reports on findings and unresolved risks for management review;
- Recommend due diligence documentation and client information updates, including identification, source of funds / wealth and beneficial ownership details as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- At least four (4) years in a similar fiduciary services role and/or relevant industry compliance function;
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements affecting legal and trust company business in the Cayman Islands. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for British Virgin Islands and Hong Kong and ability to apply this knowledge in practice is desirable but not essential;
- ICA/ACAMS or equivalent qualification preferred;
- Knowledge and understanding of various vehicles / fund structures specific to the relevant Caribbean and Hong Kong jurisdiction(s);
- Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team;
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Good analytical and organisational skills and ability to prioritise work load and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to analyse and work with structured and unstructured data to accomplish a desired objective as well as identify data anomalies;
- Ability to make decisions and use own initiative within the scope of regulatory requirements, policy and procedures; and
- Good understanding of SharePoint and Viewpoint database(s).
