Description

Do you want to join one of the world’s leading process technology companies in a role where you take ownership of a product from design to the finished manufactured component? At GEA, your decisions will shape both core products as well as project outcomes – all while working with cutting-edge technologies and a skilled engineering team that values communication, collaboration and technical excellence.

Responsibilities / Tasks

In this central role, you will act as the one point of contact for your components and ensure that the components meet all requirements throughout their lifecycles - from design, compliance and documentation to purchasing, workshop follow-up, and ensuring quality of manufacturing of the final component. You will be involved and hands-on with projects, from sale tenders to final product implementation.

You will collaborate with project managers and Sales to find the best solution, whereafter you will be responsible for developing design and drawings in collaboration with our engineering teams here in Søborg and in India.

You will then initiate the procurement in coordination with our purchasing department and subsequently interact with workshops. Together with the QC department, you will ensure the quality of the final product, both locally and globally, as well as support our commissioning teams around the world. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Project-specific design customization and check of nozzle system for spray drying equipment, for dairy, food and chemical
  • Develop designs of 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Inventor and Vault, in collaboration with our design teams in Denmark and India
  • Standardization, optimization, and further development of products
  • Preparation of documentation such as technical manuals, risk assessments, and ensure compliance, etc.
  • Component inspections at workshops
  • Close collaboration and communication with sales, project management, product management, procurement, QC, as well as workshops to follow up on projects

The work primarily takes place at the office in Søborg, with assistance in project execution and workshops. Travel to sites and workshops is expected to be around 5-20 days per year.

Your Profile / Qualifications

In this role high independence, proactivity and initiative is expected, which also means you will have a strong influence on your daily work and tasks.

We expect that you are ready to take ownership and coordinate across multiple stakeholders. You are structured, self-driven and thrive in taking responsibility throughout a project. At the same time, you are great at communication and collaboration both within your team and across departments and functions.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • Are a trained mechanical engineer or similar with strong background within manufacturing processes and stainless-steel sheet metal material knowledge
  • Are experienced with CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor and Vault
  • Have experience with High Pressure equipment, with knowledge about PED
  • Have experience with equipment design standards and hygienic design
  • Preferably have experience with large processing equipment.
  • Are fluent in Danish and English, spoken as well as written.
