THE POSITION

The Assistant Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager and helps lead the restaurant’s day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on position—you’ll be working alongside the team, learning every area of the restaurant and helping create a great experience for our guests and employees.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing restaurant shifts
• Supervising, coaching, and developing team members
• Providing strong floor leadership during busy periods
• Ensuring excellent guest service and handling guest concerns
• Maintaining IHOP standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality
• Supporting labor and food-cost controls
• Assisting with employee training and development
• Following and enforcing company policies and procedures
• Maintaining proper cash-handling and safety procedures
• Learning and understanding all positions and areas of restaurant operations
• Supporting the General Manager in achieving sales, operational, and profitability goals

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

Candidates must have flexible availability Monday through Sunday, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This position will primarily include evening/night shifts, although daytime availability is also required.

Typical management schedules may average approximately 50 hours per week, based on the needs of the restaurant.

• Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A positive, hands-on approach to restaurant operations
• Ability to coach and motivate a team
• Dependable and comfortable making decisions during busy shifts
• Willingness to learn every aspect of restaurant operations
• Desire to grow into greater management responsibility

COMPENSATION

$48,000–$56,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
